FAQs

  • Who should sign up for this webinar?
Anyone who wants to learn more about how frequent Cannabis use affects mental health should sign up for this webinar. It has already been seen by many types of clinicians across this country. Although anyone is welcome to sign-up, I'm sorry to say at this time only psychologists, therapists, counselors, and social workers are eligible for continuing education credits. Many MDs and NPs have signed up for this webinar. They are not eligible for CEU credits. I hoping to have CEUs for MD and NPs but it's not available at this time.
  • Is this a "pro-Cannabis" webinar or an "anti-Cannabis" webinar?
There will be background info on Cannabis: its history, basic botany, effects on the brain. The potential medical benefits will be briefly mentioned. But really the lecture is how about frequent Cannabis use is not beneficial for mental health and how to share that info with patients in a supportive and effective way.
  • Are you qualified to discuss this topic?
I am board-certified in General Psychiatry and Neurology. I'm board-certified in Addiction Medicine. I've worked in college mental health for over six years. I have treated hundreds of adolescents and young adults. I am on the faculty at Harvard Medical School
  • Is this a boring Powerpoint webinar?
No. This webinar has no PowerPoint slides. It is a touch-screen animated app. Many attendees have commented on the animation being very interesting and helpful. One college health psychiatrist said it was the best lecture on Cannabis he has ever seen. I hope you'll feel the same way.
